In short
Over 60s Singles is a dating site for people aged 60 and over. You join with an email address, a password and your date of birth, then make a profile and browse for free. Reading and replying to messages needs a paid membership. Profiles are shared with partner sites in the same network.
| To join | Email address, password, date of birth |
|---|---|
| Free | Profile, photos, browsing, receiving interest |
| Paid | Reading and replying to messages |
| Minimum age | 18 (21 in Alabama, Mississippi, Nebraska and Wyoming) |
| Run by | High Intent Media Inc |
1. Join with three details
Joining asks for an email address, a password and your date of birth, and nothing else. Use an email account you check regularly, because that is where sign-in links and notifications go. You must be 18 or over to join (21 in Alabama, Mississippi, Nebraska and Wyoming); in practice the site is written for people in their sixties, seventies and beyond.
2. Write a profile and add photos
Your profile is a few lines about who you are, how you spend your days and who you would like to meet, plus at least one photo. Write it the way you would introduce yourself at a friend's lunch party: specific and a little personal. The guide to online dating for the first time has examples.
You can also fill in short fields such as the age range and distance you're interested in, religion, languages, children, and whether you smoke or drink. Every photo is reviewed before it goes up, and nudity and lingerie shots are not allowed.
3. Browse and see who is interested
Browsing other profiles is free, and so is receiving interest from other members. You can take as long as you like over this part. Plenty of people spend a week or two looking before deciding whether to go further.
4. Pay when you want to talk
Reading and replying to messages needs a paid membership; everything up to that point is free. The prices page shows the current options, which are charged in US dollars.
| Without paying | With a paid membership |
|---|---|
| Join and make a profile | Read messages |
| Add photos | Reply to messages |
| Browse profiles | See read receipts |
| Receive interest | See who has viewed or liked you |
| Say hello | View photos in full |
Free members see adverts. There are optional extras too, such as boosts, priority messages and the ID badge. You never need them to use the site.
5. Renew, or cancel, as you choose
Memberships renew automatically until you cancel under Settings > Billing. If you only want a month, put a note in your diary to cancel before the renewal date. Payments appear under the billing name shown at checkout, so make a note of it when you pay.
Your profile is seen across a partner network
Over 60s Singles is part of a network of dating sites that share one database of members. People who joined through a partner site can see your profile and write to you, and you can see and write to them. Each profile shows which site the member joined through. We would rather you knew this before you join than found out afterwards.
What is checked, and what isn't
Photos are checked; what members write about themselves is not. It is worth knowing exactly where the line is.
- Photos: every image is reviewed.
- Written details: age, job, marital status and everything else members write about themselves are not checked.
- ID badge: members can buy an optional badge by passing an identity check with LEM Verify (photo ID plus a selfie). Some people are asked to complete this check to join, for example if they sign up through a VPN or their account is flagged.
A badge confirms identity, not honesty. The safety guide explains how to spot the scams that target older daters, and the romance scams guide lists who to call.
Who runs it
Over 60s Singles is run by High Intent Media Inc, a Delaware corporation. Membership is governed by the member terms. Our checklist of what to check before joining any dating site explains why these details matter.
Leaving, whenever you like
To stop a membership renewing, go to Settings > Billing and cancel. To remove your profile altogether, choose your avatar, then Settings > Delete Account. If you are stuck, the sign-in help page covers passwords and billing questions, and the help centre handles account queries.

Questions people ask
Can members of other sites see my profile?
Yes. Over 60s Singles shares one pool of profiles with partner sites in the same network, so members who joined elsewhere can see you and write to you, and you can see and write to them. Your profile shows which site you joined through, and so does theirs.
Do you check profiles?
Every photo is reviewed before it appears. What members write about themselves, such as age, job or marital status, is not checked, so treat it as you would anything a stranger tells you. Some members have an optional ID badge, which confirms identity but not honesty.
What does the ID badge mean?
It means the member chose to pay for an optional identity check by LEM Verify, which compares a photo ID with a selfie. It confirms the person matches their ID. It tells you nothing about their character or intentions, so the usual safety rules still apply.
Which countries can I join from?
The members area accepts people in the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Portugal. The site is written mainly for people in the UK, and prices are shown in US dollars.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
The member terms allow a pro-rata refund only when at least 40% of the membership period is unused. Ask through the help centre in the members area. To avoid paying for a period you don't want, cancel under Settings > Billing before the renewal date.
