Free to look, pay only when you want to talk
Joining Over 60s Singles costs nothing. You give an email address, a password and your date of birth, then write a profile, add photos and look around for as long as you like. The moment to pay is when a conversation starts: reading and replying to messages needs a membership.
One thing worth knowing from the start. Profiles are shared across a network of partner sites, so people who joined through another site in the same network can see you and write to you, and your profile shows which site you came through. How Over 60s Singles works sets out each step, including what we check and what we don't.
02
Dating when your faith comes first
For a lot of people over 60, church is where friendships, routine and a good part of the week happen, and a partner who shrugs at all that would be a poor fit. The Christian over 60 section is for anyone who wants faith at the centre of a new relationship.
It covers meeting someone through church without the whole congregation knowing your business, what to do when a new partner doesn't share your faith, and the practical and spiritual questions that come with remarrying later in life.
03
Seventy, eighty, and nobody's counting
Dating at 75 is its own thing. More people are widowed, most have homes and routines they are fond of, and plenty have no wish to share a kitchen again. None of that rules out companionship, romance or a regular Sunday lunch for two.
The over-70s section is written for that stage of life: dating in your eighties, living apart together, where two people are a couple but keep their own front doors, and dating with a health condition, from when to mention it to planning a day out around it.
04
Where people over 60 meet, from Kent to the Highlands
Away from the screen, the best introductions tend to come through something you would enjoy anyway: a u3a class, a walking group, a Scottish country dance on a Thursday night. You go for the activity, you have something to talk about, and if you meet someone, that is a bonus.
Our guide to meeting people across the UK goes nation by nation and region by region, listing groups, classes and dances we have checked on their own websites. The guide to learning and interest groups explains how u3a and similar groups work, and what a first visit is like.
05
After losing a husband or wife: when you're ready, not before
There is no correct waiting time. Some people feel ready for company within a year or two; others take ten, and some decide they never want another partner. Guilt, loyalty and worry about what the family will think are all common, and none of them means you are doing it wrong.
Our guide to dating after the death of a husband or wife is gentle and practical: how people tell when they feel ready, how to talk about the person you lost, and how to bring your children along with you.
06
How to spot a scammer, and who to ring
In May 2026 Report Fraud said people across the UK had lost more than £102 million to romance fraud in a year, and that people aged 55 to 74 accounted for nearly half of the money stolen. The pattern rarely changes: strong feelings very quickly, a reason they can never video call or meet, and sooner or later a request for money.
Never send money, gift cards or cryptocurrency to someone you have not met in person. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, report fraud to Report Fraud on 0300 123 2040; in Scotland, call Police Scotland on 101. Our safety guide and guide to romance scams cover the warning signs in detail.
